Your New Aviation Publication.
My first act as part of TheAerospaceGuys team was to create a functional website. The existing 'Wix blogsite' created shortly before my arrival, and home to three articles, was unfit for purpose and unprofessional. I therefore took lead on creating a newer, more resilient platform on which the website could reside, and subsequently trained other team members to aid me in maintaining it.
The site has been updated various times since, and in its current form under the Kinetic Media banner, hosts a summary of Aerospace Reviews, background on the organisation, contact information, details on how people can apply to join Kinetic, and an introduction to current staff members.
While at TheAerospaceGuys, I authored our most successful written piece, with thousands of link clicks; the infamous
'More Than A Number: A Tribute To The Boeing 757'.
Not only was this our most successful written piece, but it is also my best journalistic piece to date.
In my capacity as Reviews Editor, I was also responsible for the production of all audiovisual content for TheAerospaceGuys, including several video reviews of flights, like this. All footage was filmed on location, before voiceover scripting was undertaken, recorded, and edited ready for post.
The editing process for a reviews video is generally reasonably simple, with only a few pieces of media footage required per video, if at all.
