Case Studies: The IT Centre
Resolve. Refurbish. Learn. Achieve.
I was asked by The IT Centre to completely rejuvenate their corporate brand system for use in print advertisements, documents and communications, staff uniforms, digital content, and for use on future physical products.Â
This also includes the ongoing updating and maintenance of both their website, Social Media profiles, and also in lightweight software customisations which are installed on all refurbished computers.
This production was originally created in the process of applying for a fund, before being repurposed into a general promotional video for use on their YouTube channel.
Following a successful pitch of my vision for the project, I was greenlit to write a script, and shoot both the A-roll and B-roll at their facility in Castle Douglas.
Featuring myself as host, it was a simple job to cut together this short informational piece, colour grade, and then publish to their YouTube channel.
The IT Centre's website, externally produced some fifteen years ago, was tired, ineffective, and unfit for purpose. I was asked to create a new version, which more effectively meets the brief of providing information for clients, funders, and media. As well as hosting a state-of-the-art online storefront, it also provides easy access to newsletters hosted on mailchimp, as well as introducing the charity's staff, and board of trustees.
I was asked, using the new brand system, to redesign The IT Centre's welcome wall display. Givent the community values of the charity's work, I felt it only prudent to focus on the people that had been helped, and therefore decided to go with a pinboard aesthetic. This means that as more people are helped, more photos can be added to the wall, to represent those who have benefitted and showcase all of the good work that has been done by The IT Centre.
